Who we are

DrivingTests.co.uk is operated by Driving Tests Team. We are the data controller for personal information you provide as an instructor, and the joint controller (alongside your students) for personal information about students you manage.

What we collect

• From you (the instructor): name, email, phone, ADI licence number, password hash, login activity, payment metadata.
• From your students: name, email, phone, current test date and centre, swap preferences, lesson history.
• Automatically: IP address, browser metadata, basic analytics about platform use.

How we use it

To run the swap-matching service, to keep you and your students informed about matches, to take payment, and to comply with our legal obligations.

Student consent

When you add a student who already has a DrivingTests.co.uk account, we ask their permission before linking your roster to their account. We do not reveal whether a given email already has an account.

Who we share data with

We share data with our processors (Stripe for payments, SendGrid for email, ClickSend for SMS) under appropriate data-processing agreements. We do not sell your or your students' data.

Retention

We keep your account data for as long as the account is active and for 6 years after closure for tax/compliance reasons. Anonymised analytics may be kept longer.

Your rights

You can access, correct, or request deletion of your personal data at any time by emailing help@drivingtests.co.uk. You can also complain to the ICO.
